Voluum Integration Guide
Blockchain-Ads is an official traffic source inside Voluum, so you can add it from Voluum's own traffic source list and pass clicks, cost and conversions between the two platforms. If you are a crypto exchange marketer, an iGaming operator, or a finance growth lead who already runs acquisition through Voluum, this keeps Blockchain-Ads in the same reporting you use for every other source.
What you need before you start
- A Blockchain-Ads account with campaigns you can edit.
- A Voluum account with permission to add a traffic source.
- The conversion event you want to count, decided in advance.
Step 1: Create the server-to-server conversion event in Blockchain-Ads
- In HUB, go to Advertising > Tracking > Create Conversion > Server to Server.
- Name the event for the action you are counting, for example Deposit or Registration.
- Save it. Blockchain-Ads generates a unique tracker ID and a postback URL for that event.
- Copy the tracker ID. You need it in step 3.
Step 2: Add Blockchain-Ads as a traffic source in Voluum
In Voluum, open Traffic sources and add Blockchain-Ads. Set the parameters exactly as below. The TS token column is what Blockchain-Ads appends to your click URL, and the VLM token column is where Voluum stores it.
| Name | TS parameter | TS token | VLM token |
|---|---|---|---|
| External ID 1 | clickid | {clickid} | {externalid} |
| Cost | value | {value} | {cost} |
| Creative ID | creativeid | {creativeid} | {var1} |
| Creative Type | creativetype | {creativetype} | {var2} |
| Campaign ID | campaignid | {campaignid} | {var3} |
| Geo | geo | {geo} | {var4} |
| Timestamp | timestamp | {timestamp} | {var5} |
- Set Cost currency to USD.
- Keep External ID 1 mapped to
clickid. This is the value that ties a Voluum conversion back to the exact Blockchain-Ads click, and nothing matches without it.
Step 3: Set the postback URL that returns conversions
Turn on Traffic source postback URL in Voluum and enter:
https://server.blockchain-ads.com/www/delivery/tracker-mobile.php?clickid={clickid}&trackerid=UNIQUE_EVENT_IDReplace UNIQUE_EVENT_ID with the tracker ID you copied in step 1. Leave
{clickid} exactly as written, because Voluum fills it in for each conversion. If you
count more than one event, create each one in step 1 and use its own tracker ID here.
Step 4: Send traffic and confirm it matches
- Point your Blockchain-Ads campaign destination at your Voluum campaign URL, keeping the
clickidparameter on the end. - Run one real click through to the conversion.
- Check the conversion appears in Voluum against the Blockchain-Ads traffic source.
- Check the same conversion appears in HUB under Advertising > Tracking.
When both sides show the same conversion, the integration is live and optimization can use it.
Notes and limits
- Conversions are matched on click ID, so they do not depend on cookies.
- Cost is passed in USD. If your Voluum workspace reports in another currency, set the conversion rate in Voluum rather than changing the parameter.
- A conversion fired before the click is recorded has nothing to match against and is dropped. Send the postback after the action completes.
Troubleshooting
- Conversions in Voluum but not in Blockchain-Ads. The tracker ID in the postback is wrong or still reads UNIQUE_EVENT_ID.
- Conversions in neither. The click URL is not carrying
clickid, so there is nothing to match. - Cost shows zero. The Cost parameter is not mapped to
value.
