What Are Tracking Parameters?

Tracking parameters are codes added to your landing page URLs that capture data about ad clicks. They help you understand campaign performance, user behavior, and optimize your advertising spend.

Available Parameters

Select from these parameters when creating your campaign:

Parameter Description Example
utm_source Identifies the traffic source utm_source=blockchain-ads
utm_medium Marketing medium or channel type utm_medium=display
Wallet Address User's cryptocurrency wallet address wallet_address=0x742d...
ClickID Unique identifier for each click click_id=abc123xyz789
CreativeID Identifies the specific ad creative creative_id=banner_001
Creative Type Format type (display, video, native) creative_type=video
Campaign ID Unique campaign identifier campaign_id=q4_crypto
Country Geographic location of the user country=US

Setup Instructions

  • Go to https://hub.blockchain-ads.com/campaigns/create
  • Enter your landing page URL in the "Your business's website" field
  • Click on the parameters you want to track in the "Available Parameters" section
  • Complete your campaign settings (name, dates, budget)
  •  Launch your campaign

Recommended Parameter Sets

Basic Tracking

  • Parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, Campaign ID
  • Use for: Standard campaign attribution and traffic source identification

Performance Analysis

  • Parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, Campaign ID, ClickID, CreativeID, Creative Type
  • Use for: Creative optimization and detailed performance tracking

Geographic Campaigns

  • Parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, Campaign ID, Country, Timestamp
  • Use for: Multi-region campaigns and location-based analysis

Blockchain Campaigns

  • Parameters: All parameters, including Wallet Address
  • Use for: Web3 projects, DeFi, NFT, and crypto-focused campaigns
