How Moon Roll Acquired 427 First-Time Depositors at $292.66 CPA with Blockchain-Ads

Acquire first-time depositors across US, Canada, and Western Europe
Moon Roll is a crypto-native casino offering slots, live dealer games, and a VIP rewards programme with daily rakeback and deposit bonuses. The platform targets crypto-active players in regulated and grey-market jurisdictions across North America and Western Europe. Moon Roll competes on its welcome offer and ongoing loyalty structure, anchored by a 100% deposit bonus up to $1,000 and an instant rakeback mechanic for active players.
Attribution Note: Moon Roll's paid acquisition utilizes a network of specialized affiliate partners. Various affiliates run independent campaigns on Blockchain-Ads, each targeting different audiences and geographies. This case study highlights one such campaign, illustrating the results Blockchain-Ads can achieve for Moon Roll-aligned advertisers, rather than representing a single corporate campaign. Results may vary among affiliates based on their focus and creative strategies.
Moon Roll needed to acquire first-time depositors in competitive regulated markets at a CPA its affiliate economics could sustain, reaching crypto-active players who would convert beyond registration to a real-money deposit. Three obstacles defined what that required:
Casino advertising on Google and Meta is policy-blocked in Moon Roll's primary markets. Programmatic networks that do allow iGaming inventory do not carry the crypto-native publisher base where Moon Roll's depositing audience is active. The campaign needed a network that could identify crypto-active wallets with prior gambling behaviour, not general interest in gaming.
Blockchain-Ads provided the targeting and inventory the campaign required through four capabilities:
The objective was to identify which audience segments and creative angles produced the highest registration-to-FTD conversion rate. Display ads ran across crypto-native and iGaming publisher inventory in the US, Canada, and Western Europe. Two primary offer angles were tested:
The welcome bonus angle drove stronger first-click engagement across all three markets.
Targeting was tightened to crypto-active wallet segments that showed the highest post-click registration rates in Phase 1. The deposit maximiser angle was introduced with "Max Your Deposit" and "Double Your Deposit" variants, reinforcing the welcome bonus with stronger urgency framing. The geo targeting on Campaign 2 was scoped to US, Canada, and Germany with manual bidding to prioritise the highest-intent markets. Besides that, the action-prompt angle, "Ready to Roll?", ran in parallel as a brand-voice creative against retargeted users who had visited the landing page but not registered.
Retargeting activated against registered users who had not yet made a first deposit. The welcome bonus and deposit maximiser creatives scaled into retargeting with direct deposit-action framing. The "Get a 100% Bonus up to $1,000" and "Sign Up Today" variants closed the registration-to-FTD gap in the final week. 2,497 registrations were recorded across the full campaign, of which 427 converted to first-time depositors, a 17.1% registration-to-FTD rate. Total campaign spend was $124,966 at a CPA of $292.66 per FTD.
