First-time deposit acquisition from DeFi-active sports bettors and crypto-native gaming audiences
Dexsport is a decentralised crypto betting platform offering sports betting and casino experiences through non-custodial wallet connectivity across multiple blockchain ecosystems. It supports Polygon, Solana, Arbitrum, and Avalanche, enabling players to bet directly from their wallets without account registration or fiat conversion. Dexsport targets DeFi-active sports bettors and crypto-native gamblers who value self-custody, fast settlement, and cross-chain flexibility over the convenience of centralised casino platforms.
A note on attribution: Dexsport's paid acquisition runs through a network of specialist affiliate partners. Multiple Dexsport-aligned affiliates operate independent campaigns on Blockchain-Ads, each with its own creative, audience, and geo focus. This case study documents one of those affiliate-managed campaigns. It is presented as representative of the kind of result Blockchain-Ads enables for Dexsport-aligned advertisers, not as a single Dexsport corporate campaign. Results across affiliate partners vary based on segment focus and creative discipline.
Dexsport needed to acquire first-time depositors from DeFi-active and sports betting audiences globally. With this, they could reach crypto-native players technically comfortable with non-custodial wallet deposits across multiple chains.
However, they had to surpass three problems first:
Standard paid acquisition was unavailable. Google and Meta restrict crypto gambling advertising across Dexsport's global target markets. Dexsport needed a network with verified DeFi-active audiences and the inventory to reach technically sophisticated sports bettors comfortable with non-custodial wallet deposits at scale.
Blockchain-Ads provided the on-chain targeting infrastructure to reach high-intent DeFi users and sports bettors efficiently across global markets through these four features:
The objective was to establish baseline FTD performance across global DeFi and sports betting audiences. Display ads launched across crypto, DeFi, and sports betting publisher inventory worldwide.
Two creative angles ran simultaneously:
Early data showed DeFi protocol user segments generating the strongest wallet deposit rates. The self-custody angle resonates most strongly among users with active multi-protocol transaction histories. Retargeting tags captured users who had connected wallets but not yet placed a first deposit.
Budget consolidated into the self-custody and decentralisation creative targeting DeFi protocol user and sports bettor segments. Retargeting campaigns activated against Phase 1 wallet-connected non-depositors using direct deposit incentive messaging. The multi-chain flexibility angle was retained for broader crypto holder prospecting. The campaign closed with 2,210 verified registrations, 110 first-time depositors at $272.73 CPA, $83,800 in FTD volume, and 2.79x ROAS across global markets.
